The Three Skin Care Products That I Use Everyday

Trust me, I own more than three skin care products. I regularly stalk Into the Gloss and am rising up through the ranks of the Sephora rewards program. But there are only three products that I use every single day - my morning skin care routine. Here’s what you need to know:
I’m not a morning person, so I keep my routine simple. Definitely under five minutes. Active ingredients and experimental creams, see you at 10pm.
My skin is sensitive, oily and dehydrated. It’s a party. If my diva skin loves these things, it’s hard to imagine them not going over well with yours.
Before you ask, yes - I do wash my face; I’m just not loyal to any particular cleanser. Right now I’m rotating between this drugstore cleanser, this frenchy milk cleanser, and this natural cleansing balm. Honestly, I recommend them all.
In the morning, after cleansing, is where my three magic skin care products get to shine. It’s the same ones, in the same order, every day - and I have no intention of changing my ways any time soon.
1. Tata Harper Rejuvenating Serum
A multivitamin for your face! Against my best efforts, I fell in skin-care-love with this Rejuvenating serum after getting a sample two years ago. Despite the price tag (it’s my most expensive beauty product) it has had the prime spot in my medicine cabinet ever since. One 30ml jar lasts me about six months.
Along with vitamins, it’s full of antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. It makes my skin feel soft and look bright, simultaneously de-puffing and nicely plumping. Don’t ask me how - it’s Tata Harper magic. It’s also 100% natural/vegan/cruelty-free, smells like a spa in a meadow, and the green glass bottle is top-shelf worthy. Get you a serum that can do both everything.
2. Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Crème
Hello, I’m an eye cream addict. My skin has its dry spots, and around the eyes has always been one of them. As someone who doesn’t like to wear skin makeup daily, but also loves dim sum and does not sleep a blissful 8+ hours every night, this is my solution: orange-y yellow eye cream.
It’s just the right touch of brightness that I rarely consider adding concealer. The cream does have a slight banana scent, and the bright orange jar is a happy addition to my skin care shelf. I’ve also used and loved this similar cream by Origins. Whichever brand, one jar lasts me about eight months.
3. EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46
Of course you know sunscreen is mandatory, but is yours broad-spectrum? You can go check; I’ll wait. If it’s not, order a bottle of this UVA/UVB SPF 46 - I have been ever since a dermatologist recommended it three years ago. I buy it over and over because it’s effective, perfectly lighty hydrating (diva skin approved), and disappears into skin in a matter of seconds. One bottle lasts me four months - I only wish it came in a larger size!
