Spring Shopping List

It's officially spring - even if the weather hasn't quite caught up yet - and here's what I'm shopping for:
1. Spring Dresses
I generally live in dresses and skirts whenever it's warm enough, and I'm currently stalking all the new arrivals at Reformation. My striped shift dress by Petit Bateau is a perennial favorite, and this knit midi dress (with pockets!) was one of my favorite buys last year - shop a sustainable version here. Most of these dresses are perfect for spring with a leather jacket, perfect for summer without.
2. White Shoes
It's not like I avoid them all winter, but something about white shoes communicates the warm-weather confidence that you definitely won't be stepping in slush today. I'm wearing these retro-esque ankle boots whenever possible, September through May. Meanwhile, I've been waiting since November to wear these Sézane oxfords again, and these tasseled sneakers have been on my wishlist for at least a year.
3. Colored Tights
Because it's not quite bare-legs season just yet, but my black opaques are pretty tired. I keep thinking about these colored tights in Peacock - I'll wear them for a few weeks now, then for a few months in the fall.
4. Basket Bag
From April to August, you'll rarely see me without my basket bag from Tonio Abel. If you twisted my arm and made me buy another, it would either be this dream bag by Mark Cross or this wicker one by Draper James.
5. Mules
Is there a more springy shoe? Nope. I have my eye on these Madewell mules in ivory.
6. White Lace Blouse
A white lace top is a staple for me in any season, and I use this detergent or a touch of bluing to keep them white. I just bought this sleeveless top by St. Roche, and this long-sleeve one by Sézane has been on heavy rotation since I bought it in August.
7. Small Square Scarf
It feels particularly springy to wear a little scarf around your neck, in your hair, as a bracelet, or tied onto your bag. This bee bandana from J. Crew is my current favorite.
8. New Leggings
I know I just told you all about my favorite fitness gear, but there are two brands of leggings I'm itching to try. Outdoor Voices keeps releasing more styles and colors, but I think I'd keep it neutral with a pair of these in navy. The leggings at Girlfriend Collective have great reviews and they're made from recycled plastic water bottles - these ones would be my pick.
9. Spring Candles
I'm never without scented candles at home, and in spring I like bright florals and citrus. There's a beautiful, artistic lidded candle on my wishlist - but until my candle budget quadruples, I'll stick with this pretty one from Rifle Paper Co.
10. Sweater Storage
Thanks to The Laundress, I've begun to properly wash and store my knits for the season. I'm always sad to pack away these cashmere sweatpants (they're amazing - just read the reviews!) but it's a sure sign of spring.
