Splitting her time between Southern California and Europe, Sarah photographs destination weddings for world-traveling couples who seek timeless images and an attentive eye for the fleeting moments that uniquely tell their story.
Knowing her business wasn’t quite ready for a bespoke website design, Sarah was looking for a new visual brand to capture the growth of the last 8 years – and the direction she’s heading for her next chapter.

Brand Design Goals for a Destination Wedding Photographer
For her new brand design, photographer Sarah Harris was dreaming of something that would reflect her personal brand and vision for her business, and also capture the attention of her ideal clients. Together we created these goals for the project before we began our design process:
- Reflect the growth of her business and her destination wedding specialty.
- Stand out among competitors and peers, especially avoiding industry trends.
- Capture the attention of well-traveled couples with sophisticated style as well as a heart for small details and fleeting moments.
- Replace the branding she described as “boring” with something that feels uniquely representative of Sarah and her work.
How We Created Sarah’s Feminine Brand Design
With these goals in place, we set out to blend old-world elegance with modernity, creating a design that was feminine and chic while maintaining a sense of playful curiosity. Here’s how we met Sarah’s brand goals with this new design:
- We began with an elegant typeface produced by a small European studio, making the style distinctive in the photography industry.
- We added custom flourishes for the purpose of adding a sense of playfulness to the elevated design.
- The color palette is based in chic cosmopolitan neutrals, punctuated with feminine champagne pink and sophisticated mocha brown.
- Finally, a custom icon of a bee adds to the idea of free spirit, while also echoing its French symbolism of royalty, resilience, and luxury.
